ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Residents of Enugu and its environs have been asked not to entertain any form of fear as the Nigerian Air Force begins aerial displays to mark its 59th anniversary celebration going on in the State.

The Force disclosed that the aerial displays accompanied by fireworks are part of the celebration.

Air Commodore Chukwuedo Illoh, the NAF 59th anniversary organizing committee, made this known on Thursday, in a statement in Enugu.

Mr,. Illoh said the air show billed for Friday, 5 May (today), would be performed at the highest safety standards.

He said that the aerial display would be done within the evening hours of between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

“The Nigerian Air Force wishes to inform the general public, particularly those residing in Enugu, that the aerial display is a normal ceremonial exercise and nothing to fear.

“Members of the public are therefore urged to go about their routine daily activities,” the Air Force chief said.
