Many Feared Dead As Two Vehicles Collide In Osun

A vehicular collision that occurred in Ode-Omu town in Ayedaade local government area of Osun State, has left many dead.

People were reportedly burnt to death as two vehicles collided on Friday, 28 April, 2023. But as at the time of filing this report, it was not clear how many persons were involved in the accident.

Apart from the deceased victims, many people were also said to have sustained various degrees of injury.

It was gathered that two vehicles had a head-on collision and the vehicles caught fire which resulted in many casualties.

Confirming the incident, Osun Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, spokesperson, Agnes Ogungbemi said one of the vehicle carried gas, which exploded on impact, and resulted into the fire outbreak.

Her word: “We are yet to ascertain the number of casualties, but all the injured victims have been taken to a hospital in the town for treatment.”
