IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Nigerian actor Adams Kehinde also known as Lege Miami, has cried out after skit maker Debo Adebayo aka Mr Macaroni served him with a lawsuit of 50 million naira over defamation.
Lege Miami made this known in an Instagram post where he shared the letter with the public.
The actor, popular in the Yoruba movie industry, was accused of making defamatory and derogatory comments against Mr. Macaroni over the latter’s message to the Nigerian youths.
The skit maker had advised young Nigerians not to engage in tribal wars and let politicians use them as a tool of destruction.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, the comedian urged the youths to remain united and not trigger intertribal chaos over politicians “who will always be friends”.
Reacting to it, Lege Miami took to his Instagram page to call out the skit maker.
He questioned why Mr. Macaroni was always involving himself in youth matters and why he was trying to badmouth President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.
Lege noted how many from the Easter and Northern state supported and rooted for Tinubu.
“Debo what’s your problem, ki lo fe. Your Oga don do one, you wan start another thing.
“If our government no good, the Hausas wouldn’t support us. Some parts of Igbos supported us and this is Lagos State. You are giving them wrong information .
“Mr devil what’s your information, can’t you leave the youths alone. Are you the only youth? You are even older than me so you aren’t a youth anymore. You are old, stop all the things you are doing.”
Reacting to the lawsuit, Lege Miami attempted to cover his fear by informing Falana and Falana’s chambers, who issued the lawsuit, that he is friends with Mr. Macaroni and believes the skit maker did not intend his statements.
In the video, he expressed his admiration for Mr. Falana and promised to pay him a visit.
He advised the renowned lawyer not to worry about his disagreements with Mr. Macaroni, as they were friends and would resolve their issues indoor.
“Debo my longtime friend why nah why nah !!!!!!!!!!! Mr Freaky Freaky You are doing well joor,” he wrote.
Lege’s post has garnered reactions from Nigerians with many teasing him for it.
A netizen @wil_br_fors called Lege ‘uneducated’ for reacting to a lawsuit on social media.
“This guy is truly uneducated. You’re sued and you’re coming on social media to say that you and the person are friends and that you’ll go and see his lawyer at home. The caliber of persons becoming celebrities in Nigeria is awfully nauseating.”
Another netizen, deeoolaa said: “E turn court matter now, you remember sey una be friends. Smh.”
@iamkennybaby wrote: “E won yaaaHand don touch A responsible How you wan do am for court.”
