LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The lifeless body of a teenage boy has been found with his tongue and eyes removed by yet-to-be-identified ritualists at Rumde ward behind Yola North Local government Secretariat, Jimeta, Adamawa State.
According to Police investigations, the victim has been identified as a pupil of one of the Islamic schools in the locality.
Some residents of Rumde ward who pleaded anonymity said they heard the victim crying for help but thought he was being disciplined by an elder.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Yahaya Nguroje, confirming the incident, said the corpse of the boy has been taken to hospital for autopsy and that investigation has commenced to track down the culprits.
He further urged parents and guardians to always take full responsibility for their children at every point in time.
