ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Prince Arthur Eze, Chairman of Oranto Petroluem, has perfected arrangements to end the perennial water challenges in Enugu metropolis.
The billionaire philanthropist has detailed water engineers working for his company to provide boreholes in all the major areas in Enugu town, in such areas as Coal Camp, Abakpa, New Haven, Awkunanaw, Garki, Trans Ekulu, among others.
It was gathered that the project, sponsored by Prince Eze, has started, with the engineers already discovering and striking water under the earth at Emene Industrial Layout.
This can comfortably provide water for residents of Emene, including the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
Meanwhile, efforts to hit underground water in other parts of Enugu metropolis is expected to yield positive results.
Eze had last Sunday commissioned the road project he constructed for residents of Nike and the Anglican Church within the area.
Enugu has been facing water crisis, with most if the residential building not having water.
To this effect, Enugu residents rely on commercial water vendors who mostly come from Ninth Mile, for survival, especially during the dry seasons.
