IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has released a video snippet of a song which disses his former boss, Naira Marley and the members of the Marlian record.
In the video snippet, the singer whose real name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, further claimed that the lives of his parents were threatened.
The KPK crooner’s new song titled ‘Tiff’ was released on Sunday after he posted a one-minute snippet of the song on his Twitter handle.
In an indirect attack on Naira Marley, a line in the song said, “Why is Naira going down?”
The singer’s management announced his exit from the record label on 25 October, as his legal team released a statement asserting that Mohbad’s exit was due to the constant attacks he received, which Naira Marley orchestrated, and unpaid royalties since 2019.
Mohbad had recently called out Naira Marley and several others in the Marlian Record label for assaulting him physically after he had requested a new manager.
However, in Naira Marley’s defence, he had accused the latter of being intoxicated by drugs and his claims were untrue.
In the video which is now making rounds on the internet, Mohbad accused the label of cheating and tricking him.
The diss track by Mohbad is the recent development of the conflict between him and Marlian Records, after the artiste’s lawyer had served the record label a contract of termination.
