Suspected Herders Kill 4 People, Injure Many In Benue

ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Suspected herdsmen have killed four people including a woman, in Ukemberagya, Gaambetiev, Tse Ikyem of Logo local government area of Benue State.

According to residents of the LGA, the herders invaded the community on Saturday evening and shot at those in sight, killing three people on the spot while several others were injured.

An elder in the community, identified simply as Joseph Anawah, told Leadership on phone that the deceased were Solomon Ukoom, Mrs Eunice Torkwase, Joe Kpei and Mr Mfeseer Iorbume

Anawah said: “On 29th October, 2022, at about 4:00 pm armed herdsmen attacked and murdered four persons and many others were injured.

“The attack was carried out at Tse Ikyem around Anawah settlement the same spot where two people were murdered on Sunday, 23rd October, 2022.”
