LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Four men have been arrested for reportedly injecting and using minors to beg for alms from unsuspecting members of the public.
This piece of information was made public by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, via some tweets on his verified Twitter account.
The Police Spokesperson in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, has gone ahead to warn parents to be careful of whom they hand their children over to.
According to Hundeyin, the suspects got minors from villages, and then get the service of a medical doctor to allegedly inject them with substances that make their stomach swell outrageously, and parade them in road traffic as critically sick, to get alms from motorists.
