IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian transgender, Noni Salma formerly known as Habeeb Babatunde Lawal has clapped back at her followers querying her over her skimpy outfit.
Some of her followers complained that her outfit was “too much”, and she fired back by telling them to mind their business.
Noni was an entertainment journalist in Lagos before she left Nigeria for the United States.
She has undergone surgery to match physical appearance to hero new gender identity.
Noni is reported to have graduated from the University of Lagos and is currently working as an LGBT rights activist in the UK.
In an interview, Noni said she really needed to change her identity to enable her live happily.
“It was a life or death situation for me. It was either transition or die,” she said.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Lagos, Nigeria and majored in Theatre Arts.
She subsequently studied Film making at the New York Film Academy, New York majoring in Directing and Obtaining a Diploma from it.
