Abducted Imo Wedding Guest Regains Freedom

ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- One of the kidnapped wedding guest in Imo State, Collins Alaefula has regained freedom.

Alaefula was kidnaped alongside two others after leaving a wedding ceremony at Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo state, on 28 August.

Alaefula was released by his abductors on Saturday after his relatives allegedly sourced the complete amount of money demanded as ransom by his abductors.

His abductors had on 9 September freed the two others, Mmadu Promise and Victor Chibuike, who were kidnapped alongside with him after they had allegedly paid the money their kidnappers demanded, asking Alaefula’s relatively to rally round to complete the amount slammed on him as the condition for his freedom.

“Alaefula Collins one of the three young men kidnapped over three weeks ago has finally been released.

“The kidnappers refused to release him last week together with his two other friends because according to the family, his ransome wasn’t complete, a source said.

The victims who rode in a Lexus 330 gray coloured vehicle were declared missing on 28 August after they left a wedding ceremony in Isiala Mbano LGA to Owerri, their base.
