IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun a.k.a Wizkid shut down Accor Arena, in France, where he performed to over 20, 000 people in a sold-out concert.
In videos circulating on the internet, the concert was graced by some international superstars who have achieved significant feats in various industries ranging from tech, sport to fashion.
For instance, legendary model, Naomi Campbell; international football stars; Mbappe, Hakim.
Tech entrepreneur and ex-Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, as well as Jamaican dancehall singer Popcaan, and 1da Baton, graced the event.
The Accor Arena used for the historic performance is an indoor sports arena and concert hall located in the neighbourhood of Bercy, on Boulevard De Bercy, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, France.
Designed by the architectural firm Andrault-Parat, Jean Prouvé and Aydin Guvan, the arena has a pyramidal shape and walls covered with a sloping lawn.
Depending on the event, it has a seating capacity ranging from 7,000 to 20,300.
Highlights of the show included when Wizkid descended on the stage ‘from the sky’.
It was gathered that the singer’s entrance threw his audience into a state of frenzy.
The Grammy-winning singer invited Nigerian fast-rising artiste, Oxlade, on stage, who thrilled thousands of fans with his hit song, Ku Lo Sa.
Popular Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Tunez, was also behind the turntable to keep the crowd grooving to various afro-beats tunes from Africa.
Thrilling his fans, Wizkid dished out for the first time during performance his recent hit song, Bad To Me, similarly, he gave the crowd an exhilarating performance as he sang songs like Soco Soco, Ginger, amongst other hits as the crowd sang along.
