IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has escaped a kidnap attempt in Gbongan town in Osun State.
Fayose, who shared the details of the incident on his Facebook page, claimed that “many (people) were kidnapped” and that the kidnappers were heading to Lagos State as at the time of the incident.
According to him, the worsening security challenge in the country is the reason he is not likely to cast his vote for either Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, or Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 presidential election.
The aggrieved man accused them both of helping President Muhammadu Buhari to power in 2015, thus plunging Nigeria and Nigerians into unprecedented hardship.
Fayose wrote: “Thank God for life!!! No life was lost …. Many were kidnapped.
“Kidnappers in Gbogan area of Oyo state [sic] coming to Lagos.
“No security in Nigeria at all.
“This is why I won’t vote Tinubu and Atiku. They changed Goodluck (Jonathan) to Buhari,” Fayose wrote.
Reports have it that the Osun State PPRO, Yemisi Opalola, was not available for comments as at the time this report was compiled.
