West Ham and Olympique Lyon have reached a verbal agreement for Lucas Paquetá, after new round of talks on Friday morning, according to football pundit, Fabrizio Romano.
Romano tweeted on Friday: “West Ham and Olympique Lyon have now reached a verbal agreement for Lucas Paquetá, after new round of talks in the morning. Deal now at the final stages. 🚨⚒️🇧🇷 #WHUFC
Time to exchange documents and seal agreement already discussed on personal terms with Lucas Paquetá’s agents.”
West Ham boss David Moyes confirmed his interest in the 33-cap Brazil international earlier this week.
“He’s 23, has 30 Brazil caps and can play as a ten, eight or as a false nine. I think his pedigree is really good,” he said.
Now he has got his man, with Paqueta set to sign a five-year contract worth £51 million after Lyon accepted the Hammers’ latest offer following late-night negotiations on Thursday.
