The terrorists who kidnapped passengers on the Kaduna-Abuja train, have released three out of the remaining 43 victims in their custody.

A video which circulated on Sunday showed some bandits flogging 43 victims who are believes to be victims of the kidnap. The bandits threatened to Kidnap President Muhammad Buhari and Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The three released victims – two men and one woman – may have been among those who received serious beating on Sunday.

They were released around 11am on Monday morning; their relatives picked them up along the Kaduna-Abuja road

Although it was not immediately confirmed as at the time of filing this report if a ransom was paid, it was, however, learnt that 40 victims are still with kidnappers in the forest

DSP Mohammed Jalige, Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer, did not pick his calls for confirmation
