The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is seeking monetary compensation for the family of Mrs. Bolanle Raheem from the government of Lagos State, the Federal Government, Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission, through its Human Rights Committee. The NBA said it will demand at least N5 billion compensation for the family of the slain lawyer, according to The Nation. ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reviewed its plans to reduce the cash withdrawal limits for individuals and organizations. In a circular released on Wednesday and obtained by voiceofnaija.ng, the CBN’s upward review states that individuals will now be able to withdraw N500,000 cash weekly while corporate bodies can take about N5 million cash across all channels including Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and Point Of Sale (PoS) terminals. An officer of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has been injured following an attack by members of the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria. According to reports, LASTMA accused the tricycle operators in Lagos of attacking its officers with dangerous weapons while they were on official duties in the Ojota area of the State. LASTMA, in a statement on Wednesday, signed by the Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, Adebayo Taofiq, said the weapons used against its officers included cutlasses, iron, broken bottles, and local charms. Adedeji Adesola, a receptionist at Hilton Hotel, where Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, was murdered, testified in court on Friday. Adegoke was killed in the hotel on 5 November, 2021, before his body was dumped on the roadside. Adesola, is a defendant along with Dr Rahman Adedoyin and five other workers in the hotel.
