A 38-year-old man identified as Raphael Agu, has been remanded in the Ikoyi Custodial Centre, Lagos State, for allegedly stabbing his friend, Stanley Ugo, to death. A Magistrate court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, ordered the remand on Tuesday after Agu was dragged before it on a two count charge of murder. Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, has reduced civil and public servants’ work days from five days to thrice weekly, as a way of cushioning the effect of fuel subsidy removal. Kwara State Head of Service, Mrs Susan Modupe Oluwole, had earlier made a similar announcement in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Murtala Atoyebi. Oluwole noted that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq had directed that the workdays be reduced from five to three days per week for every worker.
