ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Enugu State Government has announced that the state’s unified examination will take place on July 16, 2024.
All public, private, and mission schools in the state are required to submit a comprehensive list of Senior Secondary 2 Students (SS2) and Year 2 Students of Technical Schools to the Ministry of Education by June 26, 2024.
This was announced in a press release issued on Friday by Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia,
He said that verification of enrollment at the Examination Development Center Enugu (EDC) is also mandatory by June 28, 2024.

The examination, which is free of charge, will be held in English and Mathematics.
Only students who fulfill the Enugu State Unified Examination will be eligible to participate in WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB examinations in 2025.
The statement reads: “All Public, Private, and Mission Schools in Enugu State MUST Compile and Submit a comprehensive list of all “Senior Secondary 2 Students (SS2)” and “Year 2 Students in Technical Schools” in hard copy to the Ministry of Education’s Schools Department and in Microsoft Excel soft copy to MinistryofEducation@enugustate.gov.ng before Wednesday June 26, 2024.
“All Public, Private, & Mission Schools in Enugu State must verify at the Examination Development Center Enugu (EDC) that their SS2/Year 2 Students are Enrolled for the Unified Examination on or before Friday, June 28, 2024.
“All Public, Private, and Mission Schools must take note that only SS2 students who fulfill the Enugu State Unified Examination this year, 2024, will be pre-qualified to participate in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC), the Senior School Certificate Examination (NECO), and the National Business Certificate/National Technical Certificate Examinations (NABTEB) next year (2025), as “Senior Secondary 3 Students” and “Year 3 Students in Technical Schools”, respectively, in Enugu State.
“The 2023/2024 Enugu State Unified Examinations will take place within each registered school on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in English and Mathematics.”
