LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Former Chelsea and Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard is gearing up for a comeback to football this month in a charity match in France.
The former Belgian international, who is currently without a club after mutually terminating his contract with Real Madrid at the end of the 2022-23 season, will take part in the charity match for Varietes Club de France on 18 October.
Hazard will be joining forces with renowned French World Cup winners Laurent Blanc and Didier Deschamps, along with his former teammates from Lille, Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Debuchy.

The charitable event is set to take place at the Stade de L’Epopee in Calais, with an audience of around 12,000 spectators expected to attend.
Despite offers from Major League Soccer (MLS), his former club Lille, and French giants Marseille during the summer, Hazard opted to decline these opportunities.
Speculation regarding his future in professional football remains uncertain, as he has not made a final decision on whether he will retire from playing or continue his career.
