LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Telegram is now officially introducing Stories to all users as announced by the company.
All platform users may now use the function, which was previously only available to Premium subscribers until last month. Telegram is commemorating its tenth birthday as of today’s announcement.
Users have the power to alter their stories after uploading, which is a significant distinction between Telegram’s new feature and Stories on other platforms.
It’s not possible to alter a Story once it goes live on websites like Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and TikTok.
You must remove the Story and start over if you wish to make any changes. With its Stories feature, Telegram has a distinct philosophy.
“For the first time in the history of social media, you can update any element of your story at any time—changing its visibility, caption, on-screen text, stickers, or anything else—without having to delete and repost it from scratch,” Telegram wrote in a blog post.
The remainder of the Telegram Stories experience is comparable to that of other platforms.
You have the option of making your Stories visible to everyone, only your contacts, a small number of carefully chosen contacts, or a restricted group of close friends.

Stories will be shown in an expanding area at the top of your conversation list. Any contact’s Stories can be hidden by putting them to the “Hidden” list in your Contacts area rather than the main screen.
Users can decide when their narrative expires. For instance, you may set it to expire in six, twelve, twenty-four, or forty-eight hours.
Or, you may consistently show your Stories on your profile page in a manner that is comparable to how Instagram allows you to show your Story highlights.
You can also add captions and links to your Stories. You may also tag other individuals in your Stories.
Additionally, you will be able to concurrently share pictures and movies made with the front and back cameras in a manner reminiscent of BeReal.
Telegram is still giving Premium users a benefit when it comes to Stories, even though they are now accessible to all users and not just paying subscribers.
Stealth Mode is a feature available to premium customers that hides what they are seeing for the next 25 minutes and erases their views from any stories they have viewed in the previous five minutes.
