ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- A Federal High Court sitting in Kano State has ordered the Kano government to pay a fine of N10 million for violating the rights of deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero.Â

The court’s decision comes after Justice Liman Mohammed on Thursday, declared that Bayero has the jurisdiction to be heard in the ongoing emirate tussle.
The kingmaker, Aminu Baba Dan Agundi, filed a case on behalf of Bayero regarding the violation of his fundamental human rights.
In a related development, the Kano State High Court has ordered Bayero and four other emirs to stop parading themselves as emirs.
