ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Enugu Police Command operatives, stationed at Awkunanaw Police Division, have apprehended a 22-year-old male, Musa Abdullahi, in Ogbadigbo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The arrest led to the recovery of a Daylong Motorcycle belonging to a logistics company, which Abdullahi fraudulently stole from its rider (identity withheld) at One-Day, Agbani Road, Enugu, earlier that same day at approximately 3:00 p.m.
His arrest was disclosed in a press release issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe.
The arrest came after the receipt of a report from the rider, detailing how Abdullahi, posing as a mechanic, absconded with the motorcycle under the guise of fixing it, following a breakdown at the mentioned location in Enugu.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Abdullahi, masquerading as a mechanic, persuaded the rider to purchase a sprocket from New Artisan, Enugu, claiming it was necessary for repairing the motorcycle.
Upon the rider’s return, Abdullahi had vanished, taking the motorcycle to Ogbadigbo Local Government Area of Benue State, where he was subsequently apprehended by law enforcement officers.
“A preliminary investigation shows that the suspect, after presenting himself as a mechanic who could fix the motorcycle, asked the rider to go to the distant New Artisan, Enugu, to buy a sprocket, which he said was responsible for the breakdown of the motorbike.
“The rider complied but came back to meet the absence of the suspect, who had made away with the motorbike to the faraway Ogbadigbo Local Government Area of Benue State, where he was arrested by the operatives“, Ndukwe said.
