LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Institute for African Women in Law (IAWL) has announced the release of two significant magazines aimed at promoting gender equality as part of Women’s Month celebrations in March.
Communications Associate at IAWL, Ama Forson, revealed that the organization is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of women in law for positive change and development.
She said the publications aim to offer valuable insights into the progress toward gender equality.
One of the books titled Gender Scorecard—International Courts and Tribunals 2024 is aimed at promoting gender diversity in the judiciary and fostering greater inclusivity in the legal sector.

“ It tracks the representation of women judges in international courts across Africa and worldwide,” she said.
The second book which is the third volume of the IAWL Women Who Inspire annual magazine highlights the achievements of African women in the legal field.
“This publication showcases the significant contributions made by these women to the legal profession, including the introduction of programs, courses, and groundbreaking research that have led to positive transformations in laws and policies,” she said.
She noted that the IAWL encourages news outlets to feature the publications to raise awareness about gender equality and acknowledge the achievements of African women in the legal profession noting that the publications aim to empower readers with vital information and inspiring success stories.
