OGUN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Two people have been detained, according to the Ondo State Police Command, in relation to the death of Abiodun Akintomowo in Ondo town, Ondo State, on Tuesday.
After allegedly engaging in a sex romp with a woman who was thought to be his lover on Sunday in a hotel in the Akinjagunla neighborhood, Akintomowo reportedly passed away.
One of the suspects was the deceased’s girlfriend, according to State Police Public Relations Officer Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, who declined to identify the other suspect. The second suspect is the proprietor of the hotel where the event took place.
The PPRO said, “The man (deceased) was not feeling alright after the sexual intercourse with the lady in the hotel, so he was rushed to the hospital and later died. The two suspects are still in our custody.”

She said investigation into the matter was still ongoing while the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue of a hospital in the town.
A source said the woman raised the alarm when the deceased collapsed in the hotel room after the alleged sex romp.
“The woman raised the alarm after realising that the man collapsed. The manager of the hotel and some residents raced to the scene and made frantic efforts to rescue the man. He was later confirmed dead,” the source narrated.
He added that the management of the hotel later reported the matter at the Yaba Divisional Police Station in the community.
The policemen went to the scene and evacuated the lifeless body of the deceased to the morgue of the University of Medical Sciences in Ondo town.
