ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Former President Goodluck Jonathan is mourning following the loss of his elder sister, Madam Obebhatein Jonathan.
She passed away on Thursday, 11 January, at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, after a brief illness.
Her death was disclosed in a statement issued by Mr Ikechukwu Eze, the Special Adviser on Media to Jonathan.

The 70-year-old retired teacher, affectionately known as Amissi, businesswoman, loving mother, and grandmother dedicated her life to serving God and humanity.
Described as a devout Christian and virtuous woman, Obebhatein’s burial is scheduled for Tuesday, 16 February, 2024, with funeral rites details to be announced by the family.
She is survived by three children, siblings, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, and her mother, Mama Eunice Afeni-Jonathan.
