HATFIELD, United Kingdom (VOICE OF NAIJA) –A 28-year-old Nigerian, Promise Wosu Junior, is attempting to etch his name in the Guinness Book of Records.

He is set to break the record for the longest distance covered on foot by running from Lagos to Port Harcourt.

The 28-year-old fondly called Wene, will cover a total distance of 606km in a marathon spread across six states of Nigeria, ending in the Rivers State capital in five days.

According to an official statement from the Guinness World Record website, there is a wide variety of records to choose from, and they can be attempted across a broad range of platforms.

More than eight hours after his departure, Wosu Junior shared photos of his arrival in Ogun State. He said in a statement with accompanying images: “It’s either I win or I succeed. Please join me on this mission.”

As fans continue to anticipate his next stop, Wene has also disclosed that while all protocols are observed, his real-time location will not be disclosed for security reasons.
