Bellingham emphasized the importance of setting high expectations and not shying away from the goal of bringing silverware home.
He stated, “We’ve come close in the last few tournaments, and to now go back and say: ‘Ah yeah, that was enjoyable, but now we have to be more realistic’…I don’t see the point.
“We should use the experiences we’ve got from previous tournaments to push on and bring some silverware home.”
The young midfielder exuded confidence in his ability and the potential of the England team.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining a winning mentality, saying,
“There definitely has to be a belief that we can win trophies because that’s what we are here to do and that’s the standard of the team that we’ve now got.”
Bellingham is currently part of the England squad gearing up for a friendly against Australia and a Euro 2024 qualifying match against defending European champions Italy at Wembley on October 17.
His ambition and belief in the team’s potential make him an exciting prospect for England’s future.
