During the tour, Governor Sanwo-Olu took a decisive step by issuing a one-week eviction notice to individuals who had illegally constructed shops and market stalls within drainage systems and unauthorized locations within markets.
To enforce the removal of these encroachments and restore effective drainage, the Governor has directed the Ministry of the Environment to serve the necessary notices and promptly initiate the demolition of these illegal structures.
Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to addressing flooding issues demonstrates his dedication to safeguarding the well-being of Lagos residents and preserving the city’s environmental integrity.
