Lagos, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested an ex-convict after snatching an uber driver’s phone valued at N93,000.
The RRS operatives of the Lagos State Police Command made the disclosure via its Facebook handle @Rapid Response stating that the culprit was nabbed at 9:30 p.m on Wednesday, 5 October, 2023, after he had just snatched the item.

The post read, “Around 9:30 p.m. yesterday, eagle – eyed operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) arrested Abdul-Lateef Mutiu; 20, an ex-convict after snatching an Infinix Hot 30 Play valued at N93,000 from an UBER driver in Ketu.”
According to the statement, the suspect, had after snatching the phone from the driver, attempted to escape when the officers arrested him.
He however, confessed that he has been operating in the area since 2018 and has been arrested two times.
“Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi has directed that the phone be handed over to its owner while the suspect be charged to court immediately,” the statement further disclosed.
