LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Erik ten Hag, the Manchester United’s manager, has expressed his frustration after his team’s surprising 3-2 loss to Galatasaray in the Champions League.
This defeat marks United’s sixth loss in ten games, matching their poor start in the 1986–87 season.
Mauro Icardi’s late goal secured Galatasaray’s first away win in the Champions League since 2013, putting additional pressure on Ten Hag.
United had led twice in the game, with Rasmus Hojlund scoring both goals.
However, Galatasaray responded quickly each time, with Wilfried Zaha and Kerem Akturkoglu finding the net.
Casemiro’s red card for a foul that led to a penalty kick didn’t help United’s cause, even though Icardi missed the spot kick.
