LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Real Madrid responded to allegations of referee bribery made by a former police commissioner, who claimed that no one would dare to prosecute the club’s president, Florentino Perez.
Jose Manuel Villarejo made these accusations in an interview with Spanish publication RAC 1, linking Real Madrid to a scandal similar to the one involving Barcelona.

In response to these allegations, Real Madrid released an official statement confirming that Florentino Perez has initiated legal proceedings against Villarejo for making false accusations on the Catalan radio station RAC1.
The club firmly denies any wrongdoing and is taking legal action to address these accusations.
Real Madrid is currently preparing for a Champions League group stage match against Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Tuesday night.
