LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel has been praised by former Real Madrid and England manager Fabio Capello for his last-minute equalizer against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Capello compared Provedel to Manchester City’s star striker Erling Haaland for his header that secured a 1-1 draw.

Provedel’s goal came in the 95th minute of the match, salvaging a point for Lazio. After the game, Provedel expressed his disbelief at scoring and shared his feelings about the achievement.
He admitted that he feels more at ease making saves as a goalkeeper and that scoring a goal is a rare and unique experience for him.
Despite the late equalizer, Lazio will now shift their focus to Serie A action, with a match against Monza on the horizon.
The team is looking to improve their league form after a slow start to the season.
