LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- A chieftain of the Labour Party in Abia State, Mr. Maduka Zachary has been murdered by yet-to-be identified gunmen.
It was learnt that the slain party chieftain who served as Campaign Director General of LP in the Isuikwuato Umunneochi Federal Constituency during the last election was murdered at his residence in Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of the State.

The gunmen, according to reports, invaded the deceased’s residence on Wednesday, killed him and chopped off his head.
Abia State Police Command is yet to confirm the incident, as efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, Maureen Chinaka, proved abortive as she was unavailable to answer calls, as at the time of filling this report.
However, the President General of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), Goodluck Ibem confirmed the sad development, stating that he was unable to give details of the incident, but “the report is true.”
