Bolivia’s troubles increased when Roberto Fernandez received his second yellow card, reducing them to 10 men just 20 minutes after his first foul.
Argentina seized the opportunity, with Tagliafico heading in Di Maria’s delivery to double their lead.

Later, Nico Gonzalez extended their lead with a well-placed finish after receiving a pass from Exequiel Palacios.
In Messi’s absence, stand-in captain Di Maria played a pivotal role, creating two excellent goal-scoring opportunities.
He also contributed defensively, pressuring Bolivia players to regain possession for his team.
Bolivia’s task became nearly impossible after Fernandez’s first-half dismissal, as Argentina swiftly put the game out of reach.
