France Bans iPhone 12 Sales Over Radiation Concerns

LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – France has banned the sale of the iPhone 12 in the country due to concerns about the phone’s radiation levels.

The French government’s radiation watchdog, the ANFR, found that the iPhone 12’s Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) was slightly higher than the legal limit.

The SAR is a measure of how much radiofrequency energy is absorbed by the body when using a mobile phone.

The European Union has set a safety limit of 2 W/kg for the average SAR over 10 grams of tissue.

The iPhone 12’s SAR was measured at 5.74 W/kg, which is just above the legal limit.

The French government has given Apple two weeks to fix the radiation issue with the iPhone 12.

If Apple does not fix the problem, the government could order a recall of all iPhone 12s in circulation in France.

This is not the first time that Apple has been criticized for the radiation levels of its products.

In 2017, the company was forced to pay a fine of $43 million to the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for selling iPhones that exceeded the SAR limit.

The French government’s decision to ban the iPhone 12 could have a ripple effect in other European countries.

The ANFR has said that it will share its findings with other EU regulators, and it is possible that other countries could follow France’s lead and ban the sale of the iPhone 12.

The ban on the iPhone 12 is a major setback for Apple, which has been struggling to keep up with demand for the phone.

The iPhone 12 is one of the most popular smartphones in the world, and the ban could hurt Apple’s sales in France and other European countries.

Apple has not yet commented on the French government’s decision. The company is likely to appeal the ban, but it is unclear if it will be successful.

The ban on the iPhone 12 is a reminder of the potential health risks associated with mobile phone radiation.

While the scientific evidence is still inconclusive, some studies have linked exposure to radiofrequency energy to an increased risk of cancer.

If you are concerned about the radiation levels of your mobile phone, you can take steps to reduce your exposure.

These include using a hands-free headset, keeping your phone away from your body, and using it in speakerphone mode.
