ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – In his inaugural meeting with information officers at the Ministry of Information hall in Enugu, Commissioner for Information, Mr. Akaeze Aka, has called for innovation and excellence.
In his message of change and improvement, Aka urged information officers across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to seek innovative approaches to their work.
This call for innovation and excellence was conveyed through a press release issued by Ngozi Ngene, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure in Enugu State, at the weekend.
Aka stressed the importance of punctuality and dedication in their roles, emphasizing the need for a unified and professional representation.
Aka elaborated on the necessity of embracing disruptive innovation, as endorsed by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

He emphasized the need for new forms of leadership, governance, and orientation within the Ministry to foster a stronger sense of duty and responsibility.
The Commissioner encouraged information officers to uphold their professional reputation and significance in their roles.
He further expressed his commitment to implementing effective changes that would positively impact the Ministry, with the aim of making it the foremost among all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in the state.
Additionally, Permanent Secretary Ben Ezema advised information officers to prioritize efficiency and avoid idleness in their duty posts.
Present at the meeting were directors and department heads from the Ministry, signifying a collective commitment to these changes and improvements.
