LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Commotion has ensued at the front gate of University of Lagos, Unilag, following heavy presence of security operatives to disrupt the student’s protest of tuition fees hike.
Students of the institution had reportedly converged earlier today, around the school to protest the increase in tuition.

The protest appeared peaceful until shots were fired by the police officers who were on the ground to monitor the students.
Recall that National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), had on Tuesday warned the Department of State Services not to prevent students from exercising their rights to protest, saying it is a universally recognised human right.
