LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- No fewer than 41 terrorists including commanders, have lost their lives when the Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād, Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) clashed in Borno State.
A counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, based in the Lake Chad region disclosed this earlier today, after the fight that broke out on 23 August, in the North East of Borno State.
Makama gathered that the ISWAP terrorists who came on several canoes attacked the Bakoura Buduma-led faction of Boko Haram in the axis of Duguri in Kukawa Local Government Area (LGA).

According to Makama, reliable sources aware of the clash said that the battle left 41 fighters killed on both sides including Commanders of the group.
He added that the ISWAP group dealt a heavy blow on the Boko Haram terrorists, leaving many of their commanders dead.
Makama said that the source listed some of the commanders who lost their lives during the bloody clash to include Modu Kayi, Abbah Musa, Isa Muhammed, Ibrahim Ali, Kanai Zakariya and Bula Salam.
Others are identified as Isuhu Alhaji Umaru, Dogo Salman and Abdulrahman Malam Musa among others.
Clashes between Boko Haram and ISWAP have became increasingly common and intense in areas like Sambisa forest, the Lake Chad region of Borno State.
