LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested three suspects over the killing of one Umar Abdullahi in the capital, Yola.
38-year-old Umar was killed near his place of residence in Ajiya Street, a community in Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area.
According to reports, Umar was attacked by a gang of youths who went for his phone, but because he resisted the youths, the accused stabbed him repeatedly, leading to his death.

The State Police Command, in a brief statement to journalists on 16 August, said three persons had been arrested in connection with the incident.
The statement, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), Suleiman Nguroje, identified the suspects as Ismail Isah, 21 years old; Umar Usman Sola, 17 years old; and Suleiman Muhammed, 16 years old.
Nguroje added that the three, who are of different addresses, were arrested “following the attack and killing of the said Umar Abdullahi.”
