LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has said that some communities in Lagos will likely witness heavy rainfall that can lead to flooding within the month.
Ibrahim Farinloye, NEMAās territorial coordinator in Lagos, said this in a statement on Monday.
The communities in Lagos he identified as Apapa, Badagry, Eti Osa, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Ikoyi, Lagos Island, Ojo, and Surulere.

Other States, he noted, includes Delta (Aboh), Ekiti (Ado Ekiti), Ondo (Akure, Idanre, Ifon, Iju Itaogbolu, Ogbese, Owo, Owena, and Ondo), Anambra (Atani) and Ogun (Ifo, Ota, Sagamu), Osun (Ilesa and Osogbo), Imo (Oguta and Orlu) and Abia (Ugba) and Cross River (Ikom and Ogoja).
Northern States likely to be affected includes, Bauchi (Jamaare, Misau, Azare, Itas, Kafin Madaki, Kari, Kirfi, Tafawa Balewa, and Katagum), Jigawa (Hadejia and Miga), Kwara (Kosubosu), Zamfara (Anka, Bungudu and Gusau), Sokoto (Goronyo), Adamawa (Numan and Shelleng), Taraba (Serti), Benue (Ito, Katsina-Alan, and Vandeikya), Nasarawa (Lafia and Wamba).
