LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Two residents of Angware Community, Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State, have been killed by abductors while delivering ransom for their relatives earlier kidnapped.
The deceased were identified as Agada Sambo and one simply as Azi.
A resident of Angware community, Moses Sule, who confirmed the killings adding that the victims have been laid to rest on 30 July.
Sule added that security agents have started a hunt for the bandits.

āHere in Angware, the headquarters of Jos East LGA, two persons were killed by kidnappers.
“The victims were Agada Sambo of Zangam village in Maigemu District of Jos East and one Azi from Kayarda also in Maigemu District of Jos East.
“Agada went to pay ransom for the release of another resident, Luka Izang, earlier kidnapped about two weeks ago when he was killed.
āHe was first held while Izang was set free. The bandits later killed him in their captivity.
āOne Jerry was sent with ransom to free Agada but the kidnappers collected the ransom, sent Jerry back and killed Agada and Azi.

“A third person who went with Jerry was able to run away while Agada and Azi received the kidnappersā bullets.
“Both Azi and Agada, though from different villages, were buried in the same grave in Zangam as agreed by relatives of the two deceased persons,ā Sule stated.
According to Sule, the remains of the deceased were buried at about 7 pm, on the day of the incident.
“The kidnappers are still at large. The Police, military personnel, and hunters have been combing the forest and rocks of Maigemu village in search of the perpetrators of the act.ā
Efforts to speak to the spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, Alabo Alfred, on the issue were unsuccessful as he was unavailable as of the time of filing this report.
