LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Apple is expected to introduce a foldable MacBook in two to three years, will reportedly debut and go on sale in 2026.
The displays for the forthcoming laptop might come from Samsung and LG’s display businesses.
At the moment, though, there are presently laptops with foldable displays available from companies like Asus and Lenovo.
In order to diversify its product line, the Cupertino-based tech firm is also reportedly in discussions to offer a foldable iPad in 2019.
According to the report, which uses industry sources as support, Apple and suppliers including Samsung and LG are in discussions to provide new foldable MacBook models.

2025 might see the introduction of the first foldable MacBook model, which could hit stores later in 2026.
It is anticipated that Apple’s entry into the laptop market for foldable displays will boost the flagging display sector.
The opening of the market for foldable panels for IT devices has led Korean businesses to coordinate development and manufacturing plans for foldable OLED panels for laptops.
Samsung Display has committed a large sum of moneyāKRW 4.1 trillion (approximately Rs. 25,539 crore)āto the development of 8.6-generation OLED display panels beginning in 2025 and 2026.
On the other hand, LG Display is apparently making investments in the manufacturing of mid-size OLED screens, including those for tablets and PCs.

At the moment, Asus and Lenovo are the industry leaders for laptops with foldable screens.
Apple has not yet made public its plans to introduce a foldable MacBook, though. So, it’s important to take this information with a grain of salt.
A foldable smartphone from Apple is anticipated to debut around 2025. The business submitted a patent in March of this year for a novel invention that would shield flexible-screen iPhone and iPad models from damage even when dropped from great heights.
