ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – President Bola Tinubu will be sending the list of Ministerial nominees to the National Assembly for confirmation any moment from now.
This is as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies are on also on standby for their mandatory checks on the list.
According to the Nigerian constitution, the President is expected to announce his Ministerial appointments within sixty days of assuming office.
With 18 days left to this deadline having assumed office on 29 May, 2023, President Tinubu is expected to send the list to the National Assembly for confirmation any moment from now.
Recall that last week, President Tinubuās Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, Dele Alake, at a news conference, said that the list of ministers would be released soon.
āAbout the ministerial list, the simple truth is this is an executive presidency.
“Weāre not running a parliamentary system. So the President, the bucks stop on his table, and he decides when itās fit and proper for him to make his cabinet list,ā Alake said
