LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- A UK-based Nigerian medical doctor, Obinna Aligwegwe, has said that it’s not always an achievement for a man to marry a woman he wooed for ten years.
In a Facebook post on 28 June, Aligwegwe wrote: “Marrying a woman you wooed for 10 years is not always an achievement. Most times it points to serious esteem issues. Especially if the woman was dating others within that period.”

Social media users have since been reacting in support of the post.
@Uzoma Ajaero, in support of the statement, said, “It’s self-esteem issues. They keep going at it to massage their ego that was bruised by the initial rejection. Having her is some kind of validation they need. Even when they succeed, it’s because the woman has already had the time of her life and the ideal person she wanted don’t want to keep her.
Shocked at the post, @Nnabuife Jane, commented: “For 10yrs! You don’t get bored?! 😳.”
@Dennis Ogu added, “Does my life hang on her acceptance? That’s a whole lot of f0000ling around. No man in his right senses does that.”
