LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Bukayo Saka has reportedly teamed up with the BigShoe charity to provide homes for 26 people impacted by the Turkey earthquake.
The Arsenal forward has once again grabbed headlines, this time for his off-the-field bravery, after scoring his first hat-trick as a professional with England against North Macedonia in a 7-0 triumph at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Over two million people were left homeless and over 50,000 people perished in a series of terrible earthquakes that shook Turkey back in February.
In Hatay, Adiyaman, Kahramanmaras, and Malatya in eastern Turkey, Saka has contributed by providing for housing for 26 families that were impacted by the disaster.
BigShoe announced Saka’s involvement in a tweet that stated: “Many individuals lost their homes in the earthquake in Turkey.

“26 affected families are currently residing in a container, complete with bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and toilets, thanks to housing funding provided by the English international @BukayoSaka87 in partnership with BigShoe.
Numerous more celebrities, including as Mesut Ozil, Paul Pogba, and Antonio Rudiger, support BigShoe in its efforts to aid children around the world.
In partnership with BigShoe, Saka personally paid 120 surgeries for kids in Nigeria last year and was keen to help those in need in Turkey as well.
“I immediately knew that I wanted to do something to aid the victims of this catastrophe after seeing the heartbreaking news on social media and television. I value being able to give something back greatly,” he said.
Saka is presently enjoying his postseason vacation and will make his Arsenal debut on 13 July against Nurnberg in a friendly.
