ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- President Bola Tinubu has directed the Department of State Security Service (DSS), to immediately vacate the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), situated in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

President Tinubu gave the directive when reports that DSS officials stormed the office of the anti-graft agency located on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Tuesday, preventing officials of the EFCC from accessing their workplace, was brought to his attention.

Voiceofnaija.ng had reported that officials of the DSS Tuesday morning prevented officials of the EFCC from gaining access to their office in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The officials of the anti-graft agency at the office in Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, were prevented from accessing the building by SSS officials, Premium Times reports.

“They even placed an armoured tank just to scare us away,” one of the EFCC officials said.

Also, sources in both agencies said there had been an ongoing rivalry between both agencies over the ownership of the building.

The President, however, said if there were issues between the two important government agencies, they would be resolved amicably.
