ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- A National Industrial Court in Kano has ordered the reinstatement of Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado as the Chairman of the Kano Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC).
The reinstatement is with immediate effect.
Justice Ebeye David Eseimo Isele, while delivering the judgement on Tuesday, granted the first, second and third prayers of the claimant (Rimingado) as contained in the summon.
The case is between Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado versus the Kano State Government and Kano State House of Assembly, which stripped him of his position as PCACC chairman, Daily Trust reports.
The first prayer granted by the Court was for the lack of a fair hearing.
Also, the second prayer was against the second defendant, Kano House of Assembly, which the judge said lacked power whatsoever to dismiss or to recommend dismissal of the claimant without recourse to the principles of fair hearing.

The third prayer granted by the court was that the State government wrongfully dismissed the chairman.
The judge, after resolving all issues and granting all prayers, ordered Rimingado’s reinstatement with immediate effect.
Counsel for the claimant, Yusuf Ali Faragai, who spoke shortly after the judgement, expressed satisfaction, saying that the court had done the right thing by upholding justice.
It would be recalled that Rimingado was summarily suspended and later removed from office by former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje after the state assembly said it investigated and uncovered several anomalies against him.
However, he had told journalists that the then Governor decided to axe him because he was investigating some capital projects where the name of the first family allegedly featured
