IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Former Minister of Aviation and All Progressives Congress spokesperson, Femi Fani-Kayode has received backlash over his remark on the Nigerians stranded in war-torn Sudan.
Taking to his Twitter page on Monday evening, FFK said he just watched a horrific video of Sudanese soldiers slaughtering their fellow Africans on the streets.
He raised the alarm over the federal government’s slowness in evacuating the 4000 Nigerians who are mostly students, stranded in the East African country.
He wrote: “I just watched a horrific video of Sudanese soldiers slaughtering their fellow Africans in the streets of Khartoum. The French, Germans, Turkish, Portuguese, Polish, Irish, Dutch & others have managed to evacuate their citizens. For God’s sake when are we getting ours out? If we need to send in the military we MUST do so! These are OUR compatriots and most of them are students.”
Reacting to his tweet, @coach_billys said: “U never start wailing, You corrupt politicians should keep looting. If this country explodes because of bigotry and pervasive Nepotism. Africa and the world won’t contend d humanitarian crisis. May God delivers us from the likes of corrupt
@realFFK, excellent is dead. LP forever.”
@Zayn100k tweeted: “Why not ask your APC members , you guyz are in-charge” just as @LevChuks wrote: “I wonder who he is expecting to provide him with the answer? Is the C in C no longer within your reach, sir FFK?”
“His using the PDP side of his brain , it’s only when ffk uses the PDP side of his brain that he shows some concern and empathy for the Nigerian people. All this time na APC side he dey use function,” @kingwillah weighed in.
Uncle Fisayo on his part wrote: “I don’t understand, are you bringing dz here for a Debate? I believe you’re well connected and this should be channel to the appropriate authority.”
