LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – A 75-year-old grandmother, Iforiti Oloro, who allegedly set her son, daughter in-law and two grandchildren ablaze in Ondo State, is reportedly dead.
Recall that voiceofnaija.ng had earlier reported that the septuagenarian set fire on the family of her son, Victor Oloro, at Aponmu, a suburb of Akure, claiming she was starved of food.
It was gathered that Mrs Oloro gave up the ghost in Ondo at a facility of the hospital where she was transferred for onward treatment.
In a chat with journalists on 28 March, a source who pleaded anonymity, said “The old woman (Iforiti) is dead after sustaining some burns in the fire incident. She was taken to the hospital but we got the information that she’s dead.”
Her son, Victor, and daughter-in-law, Racheal, later died at the Federal Medical Centre in Owo, where they were rushed for medical treatment.
Police Spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, was unavailable to confirm the new development.
However, a Police investigator (name withheld) in the case also confirmed Mrs Oloro’s death to Journalists.
“Yes, she’s dead. She has been moved to the morgue,” the officer added.
