ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Gunmen have reportedly killed two policemen at checkpoint in Enugu State, on Sunday.
The fresh attack on the security checkpoints resumed weeks after calmness in the city.
Voiceofnaija.ng gathered that the attack occurred before 12.00pm at a Police checkpoint between Kenyatta Market and the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC) Stadium.
A source disclosed that the policemen, who were on stop and search, were caught unawares.
A viral video trending on social media shows two of the officers lying in a pool of their blood inside gutters.
The Enugu Police Command is yet to issue any statement on the incident.
