ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the announcement of presidential results in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital.
Reports say INEC had scheduled the opening of the collation centre in Abuja for 12noon on Sunday, 26 February, but it was shifted to 1pm.
Voiceofnaija.ng has now gathered that the collation centre at the International Conference Centre was opened a few minutes ago, but the body has now postponed the announcement and collation yet again.
It has now been shifted to 6pm on Sunday, as voting had yet to be concluded in some parts of the country while counting had yet to also start in others.
Nigerians are extremely expectant as the electoral body compiles results from every part of the country ahead of the official announcement.
